The cockpit section of XG325 freshly retrieved from P&EE Foulness by a team led by F/O Bill Dann of 1476 (Rayleigh) Squadron ATC. The cockpit is seen here in the Squadron HQ hut located behind the North Thames Gas Board showroom in Rayleigh High Street. The Squadron later relocated to Connaught Road. The cockpit was often displayed at the HAM Southend. It was sold to a private buyer in Thetford, Norfolk in 2011. XG325 was one of 20 pre-production aircraft and used by De Havilland for Firestreak Trials; SOC at Warton, March 1966; dismantled by 60 MU and to P&EE Foulness 28 October 1968.
