Surrendered to the Allies in May 1945 at Vaerlose, Denmark. Allocated the Air Ministry number AM72 and ferried to Farnborough on 13 October 1945. Stored for preservation from 28 December 1945 in various locations with occasional outings to air shows etc, allocated the maintenance serial 8483M. Displayed at Cosford from 1980 until 1985 when it was moved to St Athan, returning to Cosford on 20 December 1989. (Only one other known example of an Me.410 exists, stored awaiting restoration by the National Air & Space Museum in the USA.)
