A wonderful 63-year old veteran parked on Schiphol's East apron, seen here in the original D-Day markings it carried in June 1944, only 6 months after it had been delivered to the USAAF as 42-100882. Shortly after the war it was transferred to Canada, where it served in both military and civil roles as TS422 and CF-KAZ / C-FKAZ until 1985. It then became N5831B until Paddy Green's Dakota Heritage acquired it in 2004. It was painted in these markings and reregistered to N473DC only a week before this photo was taken.
