Built as 43-35478 and transferred to the Royal Air Force as HB109 in 1943. Taken over by the Royal Canadian Air Force in May 1944 with the same serial, it was rebuilt as a Mk.3T after 1952. Bought by Pratt & Whitney in 1960, it was modified to test the new PT-6 turbo prop engine mounted on the nose. Registered CF-ZWY-X, last flight as an engine test bed occurred in 1980. Acquired by Ecole Nationale d'Aeronautique (ENA) at nearby St Hubert , QC in June 1981, it was used for decades as one of the school's technical aerospace training aircraft. The Expeditor is preserved in front of the school. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
