This third Dash 7 was used by the manufacturer for testing and certification flying from May 1977 to May 1978 as C-GQIW-X before delivery to Spantax as EC-DCB. Returned to DHC in May 1981, the aircraft was leased by Air BC in July 1981 as they rapidly expanded their IFR operations. It was returned to De Havilland in April 1989 as the airline was adding the BAe-146 to the fleet. Stored at Las Vegas, it was damaged in a hangar fire in March 1990. The aircraft was later parted out and scrapped. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
