Delivered to the USAAF as 43-17228 in 1945. Renamed to the USAF in 1947. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CC266 then sold as N9015Q in 1978. Converted to a fire bomber. Used by a number of operators. Fire bombong tank removed by 2009. To Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation as N500EJ in 2021 replacing c/n 27370 with the same reg which was damaged beyond repair.
