The Challenger 600s were the first versions of a successful bizjet family. In Germany, they got registrations D-B***, as they had a MTOW below 20 tons. D-BJET was one of these old examples, built in 1980 and operated by Contiflug of Cologne in the years 1993 and 1994. It was sold to the US and ended its corporate flying days as N244AL in 2009; the aircraft was noted at Rantoul KS, used for spare parts, in 2013.
