C-47 type training based at Sedalia AAF, now Whiteman AFB. Lt Kirkpatrick's logbook shows he made 48 flights on the type here in four months. He also flew the CG-4 assault glider a couple of times. He had received multi-engine training on the Beech AT-10 Wichita at Freeman AAF, Seymour, Indiana. 42-23769 to Sabena after the war as a DC-3C, c/n 43089, OO-AUY.
