This Convair Metropolitan was an upgrade in equipment for Southern Ontario commuters when Great Lakes bought two aircraft from Swissair in 1969. Three ex- Linjeflyg and one ex-Luftwaffe 440 followed before the airline switched to Convair 580s beginning in 1976.
