This A-10C was part of a 12-strong 74th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron security package deployment to Graf Ignatievo in Bulgaria in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The Warthog is carrying 476th Fighter Group (476 FG) markings on its tail, referring to the Air Reserve Component unit of the USAF. It is part of the 10th Air Force of Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), stationed at Moody AFB (GA). If mobilized to active duty, the group is gained by the Air Combat Command (ACC). The group stood up as an AFRC associate unit equipped with A-10 Thunderbolt IIs in 2009. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
