This aircraft was built as Hunter F.4 WV331 and delivered to the RAF in July 1955 and was retired to RAF Halton as a ground instructional airframe in November 1962. It was sold back to Hawkers in 1971, converted to an F.74A for the Republic of Singapore Air Force with the serial 543 and delivered to them in August 1973. When the RSAF retired their Hunters in 1992 it was sold to an Australian dealer and registered VH-JGP and painted to depict a Hunter that flew with the Rhodesian Air Force.
