This DC-3 was delivered to Pennsylvania Central Airlines in 1939. The airline changed their name to Capital in 1948 and was bought by United Air Lines in 1961. This DC-3, sold in 1963, was among the last DC-3s operated by a main line carrier in the US; United had retired their DC-3s in the 50s.
