This was the second aircraft of his own design that Tom Cassutt built. He raced it just once. It was sold to SAS Captain Jan Christie, who took it home to Stockholm in his DC-7C. It was registered Norwegian as LN-TVT. The aircraft flew one more time, from Stockholm Bromma on September 25, 1964. Then "Minimum Viking" was packed up and moved back to the USA in 1977. In the mid-80s registration N746JC was assigned. In 2010 the aircraft was sold to Øyvind Ellingsen and arrived in containers at Jarlsberg, Norway on November 29 that year.
