FedEx used many converted airliners, but this one was built new for them in 1984. It is unusual in having the Valsan power upgrade resulting in larger nacelles for the No. 1 & 2 engines. I don't know how many aircraft FedEx had like this but it must have been only a few as Valsan had orders for 200 then went bust after 23 had been completed.
