The Ambrosini S.1001 Grifo ("Griffin") was an Italian light airplane that was produced shortly after the end of WWII. A small series was produced for the Italian aeroclubs with an Alfa Romeo 110-ter engine of 97 kW (130 hp), hence the reason for the display of this example at the Alfa Romeo museum with a false registration. The true identity of the plane was I-RANN. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
