This was the one and only short-fuselage DC-9, which was acquired as a new aircraft by a corporate owner. It was delivered as N228Z in 1968 and initially operated by Tracinda Investment Corp. In 1984, it appeared on the Cayman register, first as VR-CKE, then as VR-CKO; it was used by Adnan Khashoggi as a private plane until 1996. Stored at Miami, officially registered as N915MJ in 2000, but never flown again, the bizjet was broken up in 2003.
