Although carrying a 314 Sqn badge, this NF-5A was operated by 316 Sqn at the time of this accident. The aircraft suffered a bird hit upon take off from Eindhoven Air Base. It crash landed in a field in the nearby village of Best. The aircraft was written off. Since the crash, the remains were seen on several locations, last at Gilze-Rijen airbase on 19 March 2016 when it presumably left to be scrapped. This photo was added on 14 February 2023, and has since been viewed 424 times. |
