Reregistered VH-SMG in 1968. Work on the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme near Corryong brought in thousands of construction workers and prompted the decision to build the new Corryong airport. The need for air services ended quickly when construction was completed. The SMHEA had its own fleet of aircraft for moving key personnel between worksites and to and from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
