John Player Special was a brand of cigarettes who sponsored the Lotus F1 team. Colin Chapman was the founder and chairman of Lotus Cars who owned G-BCOD. He died aged 54 in 1982. Registered as G-BCOD in 1974 then N42079 in 1981. Cancelled as exported to Canada in 2022.
