16 Jul '45: TOS USAAF and assigned to the 6th Bomb Group, North Field, Tinian, Marianas, and named "Legal Eagle II". Ca.1948: Converted to TB-29M by Boeing-Wichita, KS. July 1956: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage then transferred to the Navy at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA and used as a ground target for weapons testing until 1975 when it was stored.. 1985: Air Force Museum Loan Program. December 1985: Transported to Ellsworth AFB and restored for static display; completed in 1994.
