Delivered from Italy to Comox and handed over to the Air Force in October 2001. The Cormorant was heavily damaged Mar 10, 2022 during an SAR Training flight. While executing a hovering turn, the handling pilot's seat suddenly descended to its lowest position and the helicopter crashed at Gander International Airport.
