Wasp prototype on trial with No 771 Sqn, landing on the flight deck of the frigate Ashanti. News photo stamped 28 February 1962. The helicopter crashed a few days later, on 4 March. 'XN334 struck the edge of the deck of HMS Ashanti, and toppled, nose first and inverted, into the English Channel, seven miles southwest Portland Bill, Dorset.
