5 May 55: TOS USAF; assigned 301st Bombardment Wing, Barksdale AFB, LA. 2/58: 97th BW, Biggs AFB, TX. 1/59: 384th BW, Little Rock AFB, AR. 8/61: 321st BW, McCoy AFB, FL. 10/61: 4047th Strategic Wing, also at McCoy. 11/61: 70th BW, Little Rock AFB, AR. 6/62: 301st BW, Lockbourne AFB, OH. By 3/64: Converted to EB-47E. 3/64: 3902nd Air Base Wing, Offutt AFB, NE. 6/64: SOC, to Strategic Air Command Museum at Offutt. In 1997 the plane was sent to the new museum facility at Ashland, NE.
