Unfortunately the logbooks for this D.H. 89A have been lost so parts of its history are uncertain. It appears the plane was built as an RAF Dominie NR833 and delivered around July 1945. It was later converted to civilian use and transferred to British European Airways Corporation and operated for Iraqi Airways and Gibraltar Airways. At some point the frame was exported to France but dumped at Nimes airport, before becoming part of the Salis museum near Paris and then Aviodome at Schiphol.
