Two passenger carrying CL-215s were built for CVG Ferrominera Orinoco, a state owned company engaged in exploration and the mining of iron ore in Venezuela. Used to transport miners around their Oricoco River sites, this aircraft crashed on August 22, 1989 (then registered YV-O-INC-2) during a training flight. The accident happened shortly after take off from Puerto Ordaz airport due to unknown circumstances. Sistership YV-O-INC1 was later transferred to the government and stored.
