G-ASAL was Scottish Aviation Limited's company demonstrator aircraft for its successful line of Bulldog military trainers, originally designed by Beagle Aircraft, and was also used for weapons trials. It carries the badges of a number of air forces which had become customers for the Bulldog. Scottish Aviation was one of the aircraft manufacturing companies which merged to form British Aerospace 1977. After many years flying in blue and white colours, the aircraft has just recently been repainted into these original colours by its current owners at Prestwick. This photo is copyright © David A.
