Delivered to Cochise Airlines in October 1978, the "City of Yuma" is pictured as the airline was withdrawing it from service. Cochise ceased flying in 1982 and the aircraft was bought by Air Virginia in April 1984. After the airline changed their name to AVAir, the Metro was written off in a non-fatal accident when both engines failed in icing conditions and the aircraft was damaged during a forced landing on December 17, 1987.
