This 3B was originally delivered to BEA in March 1972 and in April 1974 merged into the British Airways fleet. The frame was wfu at Heathrow (EGLL) October 1985 and scrappedin June the following year. The nose/cockpit section was originally preserved at the Manchester Museum of Science & Technology, but after deciding that they didn't like aircraft the nose was re-located to the DAHC in February 2022.
