This Vampire was originally delivered to the RNAF in 1952 as a Mk.55. After being transferred to the RAF, it was converted into a T.11 and TOC in January 1959. After retirement, the plane went first to Brooklands College in February 1971 and then to the DAHC in March 1994. It is preserved in its Central Air Traffic Control School (CATCS) markings whilst based at RAF Shawbury. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
