Carrier Air Wing TEN ('NM') was established in 1986 but due to budgets cuts the CVW was disestablished with most of its squadrons in 1988. It only made one cruise on board the USS Independence. 159388 was assigned to Sea Control Squadron (VS) 35 "Blue Wolves", a squadron that survived the cuts. VS-35 was last attached to CVW-14/NK when it was deactivated at NAS North Island (CA) on 31 Mar'05. Here a rare picture of a VS-35 Viking with that short-lived 'NM'-tailcode. Alameda saw all six S-3As of VS-35 for a fuel-stop on 9 Sep'87. 159388 was retired to AMARC on 27 Sep'05 inventory code 2S0091.
