Taken on strength by the US Navy as an A-6A around 1970, this Intruder is pictured in the low visibility gray colors being introduced to the fleet at the time. A VA-42 "Green Rook" on the rudder, but other squadron markings are missing. The aircraft was retired and stored at MASDEC on Apr 14, 1994. It is on display since 2000 in front of the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support building in Philadelphia, PA, on loan from National Naval Aviation Museum.
