After the fall of France in June 1940 the Martin 167F A-3 not yet delivered were taken over by the British which used the type as the Martin Maryland Mk I. Apart from that they also ordered an additional 150 as the Maryland Mk.II. Mainly used in the Mediterranean theatre.
