Delivered to the USAF as C-130A with serial 57-517, struck off charge in May 1976 and put into storage at the MASDC facility in Tucson (AZ). The Hercules became N3226B in May 1981 with Desert Air Parts. Sitting in Tucson doing nothing for almost 10 years the aircraft was finaly sold to Trans Latin Air of Panama as HP-1162TLN in November 1990. Two years later he aircraft joined the fleet of AeroPostal Cargo de México. A year later the C-130 was joined by another Hercules (XA-RYZ) until both were withdrawn from use at their homebase Mexico City.
