In it's final days with the California Air National Guard, this Delta Dart went to 5th Fighter Interceptor Squadron based at Minot AFB, ND in January 1984. Retired to MASDC in April 1985 as the squadron re-equipped with F-15s, the fighter would be converted to a QF-106 by ARL Inc in December 1992. The fighter ran off the runway at Tyndal AFB, FL on November 30, 1993 collapsing the left main gear and caught fire.
