The real 49-1236 shot down a MiG-15 over Korea on 17 December 1950 (when operated by 334th FIS), and later was shot down itself by a MiG-15 near Sinanju, North Korea on 24 October 1951. Another fake 49-1236, in exactly the same markings and colours, is preserved in the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Oh. The real identity of the latter aircraft is known (49-1067). The identity of the aircraft in the Seoul War Memorial Museum is not known (afaik). This photo is copyright © Jonathan Verschuuren, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
