With No. 1 SoTT as an instructional airframe, officially 7770M for this purpose. While it wears the markings of No. 71 Squadron, it appears that WT746 never served with this unit, flying instead with the Air Fighting Development Squadron at RAF West Raynham. In any case, its flying career was very short and it was placed in storage for some time before being used as an instructional airframe from 1962. WT746 is now on display at the Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum. This photo is copyright © Fergal Goodman, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
