Built as F4U-7 BuNo. 133714. Transferred new to France for the Aeronavale as 714 under the MDAP. Returned to the U.S. and was on display at the USMC Museum at Quantico, VA from 1964-1971. Reverted to civilian ownership, registered as N33714. It was used in the "Baa Baa Blacksheep" television series. Exported to Canada as C-GWFU from 1983-2004. Back to the U.S. as N811AP in July 2004. Reregistered as N965CV in February 2015. When I took this photo the a/c was undergoing maintenance at Tab Air, a warbird maintenance/restoration facility on the airfield.
