German RF-4E crews were trained at Shaw AFB (SC), mostly with 16th TRTS from 1972-1981, which may be the reason this RF-4C found its way to Germany. Like most aircraft at Hermeskeil back in 1992, it was displayed without fences. This photo is copyright © Wim Sonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
