The Air Force retired this Phantom July 13, 1989 when it was stored at AMARC. Once part of the National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, it was acquired by Merle Harold Maine Collection in August 1998. After the owner's death in 2013, the aircraft remained stored at Ontario Municipal, passing to the care of the City of Ontario, OR.
