Only two KAT-1 trainers were apparently built and both are framed here with Fuji KM JA3122 in the foreground, presumably at Miyazaki. The KAT-1 was designed as a military trainer, but the Fuji-built Beech T-34 was preferred. The first prototype JA3084, in the background, was tested by the Japanese army. Both KAT-1s deleted from the register as 'obsolete' in 1962 and both listed as having gone to the Kakamigahara museum in Gifu.
