This Lancaster was built by Victory Aircraft Ltd at Malton, ON and was delivered to 425 'Alouette' Squadron, RCAF in May 1945 but just too late to take part in offensive operations. She was then placed in to storage but served briefly in 1952 with 404 Maritime Patrol Squadron, RCAF at Greenwood, NS. It is the most complete Lancaster X in existence, remaining very close to its wartime condition, and is now on display at the Canada Aviation & Space Museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
