Head on, going for the runway at homebase Neuburg. FMS serial 72-1243 first flew on 18 August 1975 and was delivered to Germany on 24 September 1975. It was assigned to JBG36 and flew later with JG72 (and damaged at Neuburg (engine explosion) during take-off, but it was luckily rebuilt) up to May 1993, JG74 up to July 1997, JG73 up to August 2001, JG 94 up to January 2008 and again JG71 up to June 2013. It was scrapped at Jever (Germany) by July 2013. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
