In the static at the Air Tattoo which moved to Greenham Common in 1973, evolving into the RIAT event. Fairchild used the name Packet for the earlier C-119s but by 1952 were calling it the Flying Boxcar in publicity. in many services , including the Belgian Air Force Packet remained the popular name.
