Carried fictitious markings applied for the remake of the movie "Flight of the Phoenix" and had the false registration H0180-H applied under the left wing. Can still be seen at Buckeye on Google Earth imagery date July 2022.

MM53-3200 repainted in 2021 to celebrate the 60 years from the Kindu's massacre, occurred in Congo during a peaceful ONU mission. Two Italian C-119Gs (radiocalls "Lyra 5" and "Lupo 33") landed on 11 November 1961, to deliver material to the local ONU's unit. Both crews (13 airmen) were imprisoned by the rebels of the Congolese National Army and then all killed on the same day. Their bodies were recovered and taken back to Italy on 11 March 1962. A Sacrarium were the crews' bodies were buried, is "watched" by this aircraft, who is painted on the opposite side with 46-33 code and 26049 serial (Lupo 33)

Built for the Royal Canadian Air Force as 22114 in 1953. Withdrawn from use in 1967. Sold as N15502 in 1971. To Hawkins and Powers Aviation in 1976 and stored at Greybull, WY. To the USAF Museum in 1988 and preserved at McClellan. Later painted into USAF colours as 22114.

In open storage at the Greybull base of Hawkins & Powers Aviation, still carrying the basic colours of the RCAF where it was in active service from 1953 until 1965. Tanked by H & P and certificated as N3559 "137" in 1975 with roof mounted jet pack added. Following the structural failure and mid-air breakup of one of their C-119Gs during a fire attack in California in 1987, H&P grounded their entire fleet of the type. Traded to the USAF Museum in 1991 and put on display, in period USAF configuration and colours, at the AMC Museum at Dover AFB, Delaware.

On display at IAF Museum Palam. This workhorse of the IAF was inducted in No. 12 Sqn "Yaks" in Jan 1954 to replace Dakotas. Known as the "Packet" in Indian service, the aircraft was vital in supporting the Indian Army in the Himalayas. No. 19 and 48 Sqn "Camels" also flew the type. A J34 jet engine was fitted in a dorsal pod to increase safety margins, later changed to an Orpheus. A Packet flown by S/L CKS Raje set a world record for the world's highest landing when 32 fully equipped troops were ferried to DBO on 23 July 1962. The Packet was used in the large 1971 Tangail paradrop.
