Delivered as a C-130A in October 1958 but returned to Lockheed Marietta for fitment as C-130D with ski gear to allow support missions to the Arctic DEW-line stations. First assigned to the 61st TCS, 314th TCW, Sewart AFB, TN and then to 17th the TCS/21st CW, Elmendorf AFB, AK. Transferred to 109th TAG, NY ANG, Schenectady County Airport around 1975 and retired to Davis Monthan in February 1985, also being added to the inventory of the USAF Museum.
