The USAF introduced the T-28 in 1950, the Navy following three years later. The Navy version of the aircraft, the T-28B, differed from the Air Force version primarily in having a bigger engine and a three-blade propeller instead of two-blade. The T-28C added a tail hook for carrier landing training and remained in service till 1984. This one served VT-3 then VT-6, NAS Whiting Field, FL from 1971 till being stored at DM from the end of 1974 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
