Like the MiG-17F next to it, the information plate states that this Polish-built variant was delivered to 11 Skadron at Iswahyudi AB in 1961 and saw service in Operation Trikora (a Soviet-Indonesian campaign which aimed to seize and annex the Dutch overseas territory of Netherlands New Guinea in 1962) and Operation Dwikora (a confrontation with Malaysia in 1963).
