This Beaver is actually a composite of XP822 and XP815. XP822 was delivered to the RAF in November 1961 but crashed in September 1970 during take-off at Sharjah. XP815 was written-off at Vólos, Greece in September 1962 when the top window sunblind fell down over pilots face during take-off, causing a loss of vision and subsequent crash. Parts of both airframes were used to reconstruct this airframe, now on display outside the Museum of Army Flying. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
