Slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Built in 1958, Fairchild F-27 c/n 25 served with AVENSA and Ozark Airlines before becoming a corporate transport. It was an unusual visitor to Munich-Riem, probably flying in for the Olympic Games held at Munich during summer 1972. - In 1976, the Fairchild was sold to the Mexican Navy and was reported as damaged beyond repair in a gear up landing at Mexico City in April 1988. This photo was added on 13 July 2024, and has since been viewed 175 times. |
