Former US Army C-12D Huron 82-23781 was registered to the state of California October 27, 2008. While capable of lead in or aerial supervision fire duties, Cal Fire uses the OV-10 Bronco for that. The King Air's primary use during fire season is as an Air Attack training platform. The aircraft can also be configured to carry cargo or up to 8 passengers as necessary.
